Cactus / Shea Corridor East

The Cactus Shea Corridor east of the 101 freeway is flanked by Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard to the east, and bounded by Thunderbird Road to the north and Shea Boulevard to the south. This pocket of homes rests in more established neighborhoods, and features a wide variety of home types and sizes.

For example, the Scottsdale Hills neighborhood, south of Thunderbird Road and 94th Street consists of one story condominiums, while the Sweetwater Ranch neighborhood has a mixture of townhomes, patio homes and single family homes, ranging from 1,000 square feet to 3,600 square feet. Mountain View Ranch features larger single family detached homes built by Pulte Homes and other builders. Many of these homes have been updated, and the community features walking and biking paths, as well as a children’s playground. The Cabo Del Rio neighborhood has 42 single story homes including condos and single family homes. The homes were primarily built by DEACTIS between 1993 and 1994.

All of these neighborhoods are conveniently located thanks to their proximity to the 101 freeway. Nearby shopping includes the Scottsdale Quarter, the Promenade and Kierland Commons. Larger options include the Paradise Valley Mall. For active and fitness-minded residents, there are dozens of parks with walking and biking trails, as well as numerous fitness centers. Golfers can take advantage of the public courses available at the TPC Scottsdale, the Talon and Raptor at Grayhawk or Kierland’s 9-hole Ironwood, Acacia and Mesquite courses.

The top-rated Scottsdale Unified District serves the Cactus Shea Corridor neighborhoods east of the 101, with Redfield Elementary, Desert Canyon Middle School and Desert Mountain High School. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is less than 20 miles away.
